Küat honors this limited warranty on all Küat brand products for original owners of the product. This warranty is not transferable. If you received a different warranty with your product, don’t worry - Küat will honor the warranty with the terms that are the most generous to you.
If a Küat product is covered by the terms of this warranty and is determined by Küat to be defective in materials or workmanship during the applicable time period set forth below, Küat will repair or replace the defective parts or product. Küat may choose in some cases to offer the owner a refund or credit of up to the original purchase price of the product in lieu of repairing or replacing the product.
This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to excessive loading or other misuse or abuse, improper assembly, improper installation, theft, failure to perform routine maintenance, or other uses prohibited by this warranty as described in this document including the Receiver Hitch Capacity Limitations section and the RV Compatibility Limitations sections below. This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches, fabric tears, cosmetic oxidation, or accidents.
Taking your product to be serviced by a repair shop that is not affiliated with or an authorized dealer of Kuat Innovations LLC will not void this warranty. Also, using third-party parts will not void this warranty. Any parts that are used and/or installed on your Küat product that are not genuine, unmodified Küat parts are not covered by this Warranty. Any damages that result from the use and/or installation of parts on your Küat product that are not genuine, unmodified Küat parts are not covered by this Warranty.
If you are the original owner of a defective Küat product, please contact Küat at 1 (877) 822-5828 or via https://www.kuat.com/forms/warranty-claim/. A Küat representative will work to quickly resolve the problem. No product should be returned to Küat without prior authorization from Küat staff. You may request a printed copy of this Limited Warranty by contacting Küat.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ONLY COVERS REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND FOR THE COVERED KÜAT PRODUCT WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER’S SOLE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ANY DAMAGE TO VEHICLE OR OTHER PROPERTY IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. PERSONAL INJURY IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL DAMAGE IS NOT ALLOWED IN ALL STATES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY. This section is applicable only to Küat products that are used in conjunction with a receiver hitch. The weight capacity of your vehicle’s receiver hitch depends on many factors, including (i) its hitch class rating, (ii) whether it is attached to the vehicle frame or the bumper, (iii) its maximum tongue weight, and (iv) other factors based on your vehicle’s design. Küat cannot evaluate whether your particular vehicle/receiver hitch combination is sufficient for use with Küat products. You are responsible to determine the weight carrying capacity of your vehicle and its receiver hitch. Please consult your vehicle owner’s manual and hitch receiver manual to determine if your vehicle/receiver hitch combination has the necessary capacity for a specific Küat product and your bicycles. The combined weight of the bicycle rack and bicycles is not directly comparable to the maximum tongue weight for your receiver hitch because of the distance from the receiver hitch to the position where the bicycles are supported on the rack. Using hitch extenders such as the Hi-Lo or Hi-Lo Pro, or swing arms such as the Pivot or Pivot v2 products, increases the effective load on your receiver hitch even further.
The Hi-Lo, Hi-Lo Pro, Pivot, Pivot v2, or other extender or swing arm products should never be used with Class I or Class II hitch receivers. Depending on the number, weight, and placement of bicycles on the rack, some Class III or Class IV hitch receivers may not have the capacity for a bicycle rack on a hitch extender or swing arm.
You are responsible to determine if your receiver hitch has the capacity to support a hitch extender product (Hi-Lo, Hi-Lo Pro, etc.) or swing arm (Pivot, Pivot v2, etc.) with a particular combination of bicycles and bicycle rack. You should not attach a vertical or hanging style bicycle rack to a hitch extender or swing arm.
AS A RESULT OF THE FOREGOING, KÜAT’S LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE OR LOSS, INCLUDING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PHYSICAL INJURY OR DEATH, ARISING FROM USE OF ITS PRODUCTS WITH A VEHICLE/RECEIVER HITCH COMBINATION THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY FOR THE PRODUCT OR CONFIGURATION USED BY YOU ON IT, AND KÜAT DISCLAIMS ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY RELATING TO THE CAPACITY OF A VEHICLE OR RECEIVER HITCH FOR USE WITH A PARTICULAR KÜAT PRODUCT OR COMBINATION OF KÜAT PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE RELATED THERETO. THIS DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY IN ALL STATES.
Küat’s limited warranty only covers use of some of its receiver hitch-mounted bicycle racks with some recreational vehicles (RVs) as described below. Many types of RVs subject the rack and bicycles on it to high forces and extreme movements. Damage resulting from use of a Küat product in violation of this section is not covered by this limited warranty.
Küat’s limited warranty will cover use of any of its 2-inch receiver hitch-mounted bicycle racks on motorhomes (as defined in 49 C.F.R. 571.3) satisfying all of the following requirements:
Class B type motorhomes are commonly known as van conversions and comprise a completed van-type vehicle which has been altered to provide temporary living quarters. Class B type motorhomes have a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 lbs or less.
In addition, (i) the 2 inch receiver Transfer™ v2, (ii) the 2-inch receiver Piston Pro X, and (iii) the Piston SR with 2” Hitch Adapter may be used on RVs (both motorhomes and trailers) satisfying all of the following requirements:
Please check the User Guide for load weight limits applicable to your rack when used on an RV. Lower weight limits apply.
Even if the conditions above are met, any RV may be operated in a way that will expose Küat’s products to conditions that they are not designed to handle. The operator of the RV is responsible to operate the RV in a manner that will not overload the rack, such as by excessive speed over rough roads or speed bumps, rapid turning movements, driving the RV over changes in gradient that will bring the rack in contact with the ground, or other similar actions.

Esta sección se aplica solo a los productos Küat que se utilizan junto con un receptor de enganche. La garantía limitada de Küat solo cubre el uso de algunos de sus portabicicletas montados con enganche receptor con algunos vehículos recreativos (RV) como se describe a continuación. Cette section s'applique uniquement aux produits Küat utilisés avec un attelage récepteur.
